FORESTS FOR THE TREES
FEB 2026. I'm looking for hope and positives for the start of this year. They've been a bit difficult to find as the climate change dominates even more and I'm frustrated by the deniers, especially among governments, business leaders and other multi nationals.Â
The geo political stance between China, U.S. and Russia is all about who can gain the most resources to spur their econamy in sustaining and supplying more fuel and more technology. We have become so depemdent on these man made commodoties that we feel we can't live without them. Technologies in our primary schools have been a failure as fewer children seem to know their basic Rs and at secondary schools, has created immense social confusion to the point of bullying, suicides and gender confusion, to say nothing of wholesome relationship formations. People appear have become more aggressive, competitive and self seeking.
When covid struck there was an 8.4% reduction in fossil fuels in the atmosphere and the climate extremes were more settled. We see riots in the U.S., Britain and Iran among people rebelling against their governments'. I believe we are going to see much of the same thing.
Meanwhile in the U.S. 11000 flights were cancelled over a 24 hour period due to freezing conditions. Once upon a time there might have been 11 flights available and before that 0. As a a world poulation we are becoming weaker and believe we can take luxuries whenever we wish without weighing up the collective consequences. Are there enough of us willing to provide shelter for those in Kerabas when the ocean finally takes them?
